ABSTRACT Radar signal generator plays a pivotal role in the radar system. With the development of Radar Countermeasures Technology, the radar signal Generator meets soaring requirements, and it has entered the digital, integrated and rapid development period. DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizer) is widely used in radar signal generator for its excellent performance. Compared with the traditional frequency synthesizer technology, the DDS has many advantages, such as good frequency stability, high frequency resolution, fast frequency switching speed, small size and low power and so on. It can be able to meet the needs of strong anti-jamming and Strong viability of radar in the modern electronic warfare environment. So it has a very important practical significance to the radar waveform generator in digital fields. Several familiar theory of radar signal is briefly analyzed in this article, combining the later signal processing of each provides theory gist for various signal generating; based on mastering the basic principle and architecture, the traditional achievement means is improved by optimizing the circuitry design, analyzing the electromagnetism and power source on hardware, aiming at the generation mechanism of DDS spurious performance, consequently brings the surpassingly performed radar signal generator. Finally, the power consumption, stability, Signal to Noise Ratio and currency is obviously amended, and each criterion is fully up to the system mustard.
