Examples of Active/Active storage are: EMC VPLEX, NetApp Metro Cluster (see VMware HCL for more information) Stretched clusters support Live vMotion of workloads Use L3 for all VMkernel networks: Management, vMotion, IP Storage All management components such as vCenter Server, NSX Manager and Controllers are located in Site A Latency and bandwidth requirements are dictated by vMSC storage vendor, eg 10ms RTT for VPLEX which also aligns with vMotion using Enterprise Plus vMSC enables disaster avoidance and basic Disaster Recovery (without the orchestration or testing capabilities of SRM) Loss of either NSX Components or the Datacenter Interconnect will results in a fallback to data plane based learning using existing network state.
