Okay, the first thing you need to do is to relax. No ones going to throw tomatoes at you if you fail to make others laugh, and youre not going for a hard test. You just want to add some fun to your life and conversations, and appear more easygoing. So dont put so much pressure on yourself. Dont take things too seriously. Easeupon life and yourself; get used to taking things with a grain of salt. See the humor in situations; youll see that most situations, even getting a $200 speeding ticket or slipping over on a banana peel, have humour written all over themthe trick is finding them and being able to laugh at yourself. You cant be funny if you dont have any references or material. The broader your general knowledge is, the easier youll become funny. So the more you know about films, TV programs, music, and everything about pop cultures, the greater the chance of being funny is. Broaden your horizons and stay up to date with current events in the news. Find your style. Avoid imitating actors and comedians because it may not suit your style. If youre not a very sarcastic (嘲笑的) person, it makes it hard to imitate someone like Chandler from Friends. If youre rather quiet, it will be nearly impossible to takeon Robin Williams or Jim Carreys humour. Have a joke pool. You never know when a situation calls for a joke, like if youre at a boring party, chatting with some acquaintances. Humour yourself with a joke a day to take a break from your daily tasks, and keep the ones you like best in mind. That way, youll always have several instock for when the time is right.1The writer wrote this passage mainly to tell us _.Awhy being funny is importantBhow to be happy in our lifeChow to learn to be funnyDwhy he is so funny答案:C主旨大意题。 C。2What does Paragraph 1 mainly advise us to do?ATry to be funny at any time.BAdd some fun to our life.CAppear to be more easygoing.DAvoid putting too much pressure on ourselves. 第一段第二句“Okay, the first thing you need to do is to relax.” 3When the writer says “Dont take things too seriously.” in Paragraph 2, he probably means _.Awe shouldnt care about what we haveBwe can find humour even in difficult situationsCwe should let others know they can laugh at usDwe should learn to laugh at other peoples bad situations答案:B推理判断题。根据作者在第二段所举的例子“. even getting a $200 speeding ticket or slipping over on a banana peel, have humour written all over them”可知作者叫我们不要太在意,是告诉我们即使处于一些不好的境地也可以发现幽默。4What does the writer suggest NOT doing?AImitating actors or comedians.BLearning about the current events.CLearning to laugh at ourselves.DReading more jokes. 根据第四段中的“Avoid imitating actors and comedians because it may not suit your style.” 相识;熟人1ease up on 缓和;放松 2.take on 呈现3in stock 有现货的
