This program offers opportunities for Minnesotas finest hockey players to progress to a national event and showcase their talent and skills. Players (including High School players) in District 9, Mankato, Waseca, Faribault, Northfield, Owatonna, Albert Lea, Austin, Dodge County, Rochester, Winona, St Peter/Le Sueur & La Crescent that were born in 2005 are eligible to try-out in District 9.Tryouts: At Dodge County Ice Arena, Kasson Session 1 Tuesday, March 17, 2020 7:45 PM to 9:15 PM At Dodge County Ice Arena, Kasson Session 2 Thursday March 19, 2020 7:45 PM to 9:15 PM At Dodge County Ice Arena, KassonSession 3 Saturday March 28, 2020 11:30 AM to 12:30 PMTry-out fee $100.00. After the skills training sessions, the top 20 players from District 9 plus alternates will be selected from the skills training to participate in the seeding games and Spring Festival. District 9 will be placed in one pool play by results of the preliminary games. Players will be evaluated during the 3 games they will be playing. 102 Players will be selected to participate in the weeklong camp at St Cloud State University during the Minnesota Hockey Summer Festival held in St Cloud on June 13th thru 18th, 2020.The toughest assignment the coaching staff will face during the entire process is the player evaluation process. Selecting players is not a perfect science and there isnt a perfect method that assures that we will always select the best player. We recognize that and we understand the disappointment of being passed over for another player. The best we can hope for is to give the selection process our fullest attention.If you advance from the try-out process and make the team, congratulations.
