What is your favourite band? How many people is a band usually formed? Step II Speaking You and your friends want to start your own band. However, you have never played in a band before. Talk with your friends about the band you are going to start. What things do you have to consider? What problems do you have? Step III Activity and performance Form your own band in groups of four. Decide who will play what instrument and who will sing. Choose a name of your band and an English song and then try perform it to the class. Step IV Talking and writing Talk about the music sayings in groups and tell what they mean and what do you think of them. Then choose the one you like best and write down what it means to you and what do you think of music. Exchange your work with your partner(s). Step V Workbook: Talking Make suggestions by talking about going to a concert this Friday evening. The students are encouraged to use the expressions on the screen. Step VI Workbook: Speaking Task In pairs the students talk about preference about different kinds of music and musicians.
