The Second Period从容说课This is the second period of this unit.In this period,students are expected to retell the contents of the reading passage.The purpose is to review the passage and further understand the bad experience of the blacks in South Africa.At the same time,students can have chance to practice their oral English.After that,it is very necessary to deal with the language points in the Warming up and reading passage,which helps the students to enlarge their vocabulary and strengthen their English basic skills.Whats more,there are some exercises designed to consolidate these words and expressions.三维目标1.Knowledge:Learn and master the new words and expressions in this period.Words:fight,advise,prison,accept,receivePhrases:stop.(from) doing sth.,lose heart,in trouble,worry about,out of work,Youth League,as a matter of fact,blow up,put.in prisonSentences:The last thirty years have seen the greatest number of laws stopping our rights and progress.Only then did we decide to answer violence with violence.2.Ability:(1)Enable the students to talk about Elias experience in English.(2)Enable the students to use the new words and expressions freely.3.Emotion:Further understand the bad experience of the blacks in South Africa.教学重点(1)fight:fight for,fight against,fight with(2)advise:advise sb. on sth.,advise sb. to do sth.,advise that sb.
