You will find information on the application process on the airlines official website.If an airline does not inform you how they like you to apply for positions on their websites, you can follow the steps mentioned below to obtain an application form. Request Email or Letter TemplateIn order to request an application form or to request information from an airline on how to apply, create a letter that simulate the following format. Fill in the highlighted areas with your information and paste into an email or into a letter.-Your name Your address Your telephone number Your email address The name of the airline The address of the airline Todays date Attention: The Human Resource Department (preferably type in the name of the relevant officer) Re: Application for .(name of the position(s) you want to apply for )The purpose of this letter is to request information on your airlines procedure to apply for the position(s) of . And if you are considered for hiring, the airline may check to confirm the validity of the employment and education information you have stipulated in your application. Thus, complete your application form carefully and neatly, and always keep a copy of the form that you have submitted to the airline, this is to remind you exactly what you have written. Application form can be used by the airline in a few ways like the following:-a) It enables airlines to screen out unsuitable candidates, for example, if the applicant does not meet one of the important criteria that the airline has set - such as education, language, height, customer service experience, etc. b) Messy, illegible or badly completed application forms demonstrate poor standards of presentation, and suggest a lack of commitment. Such candidates are also undesirable to the hiring airline.c) The application form provides a useful overview of the candidate. Details of education or work experience may be used by selectors for formulating the most appropriate questions at interview. The form may also be used to understand a candidates general and family background, hobbies and interests, and perhaps motives.d) Many application forms ask for some form of self-appraisal. A common example would be: “Describe why you would be a good crew member in less than five hundred words”. This information provides selectors with an insight into candidates perceptions. The style and standard of writing is also a telling indicator of ones personalities and language abilities.e) The address, availability, and permission to contact referees may be requested.f) Many airlines ask for a recent photograph to go along with the application form. Candidates should make sure they send a professionally looking photograph, as this is important to make a good impression. A note on the Photograph It is true that a photograph with a bright smile can says a thousand words!
