Say Neil s home is cool. Everyone wants to have a room like his. Now Simon is very happy and he is calling Daniel. Do you know why? Play the tape for the students. 2. Ask the students to read the dialogue in pairs. Step 2 Useful expressions May I speak to ? This is Who is calling, please? I m calling from Step 3 Practice Ask the ss to work in pairs according to their own homes to make up a dialogue. Step4Study skills ( Making a grammar pattern book) 1. Ask and answer to show the following sentence. Explain to the students: The answers belong to Pattern: 主 语+动词 +宾语 Listen to the tape and try to find the answer: Simon is happy because he has new home now. It s very big. Read and answer the following questions: What is Simon s home like? What is his new telephone? 3. Practise reading the dialogue in pairs and then act it out. Can I have you number, please? Just a minute/ hold on, please. I will call back later. Can you call back later? Sorry, he is not here at the moment. Prepare for 3 minutes then act out their dialogues. T: Where do you live?
