How to use Xbench,Step 1: click the “project” button,Step 2: choose the “new” option, then there pops up a box like this ,Then there pops up a box ,Xbench supports almost all main-stream file types checking, with the mostly used ones being TTX, trados word file, xliff, etc. as red-highlighted in the picture.,After one file type is chosen, for example, “Trados TagEditor File”, click the “next” button.,Click the “add file” button at the left bottom to choose the file, then click the “next” button.,At this box, choose the priority item as “High”, and check “ongoing translation”(usually, it is a default option). And “OK” button. Then we got this.,You can continue to add files that need checkingthen, if there is a glossary list, it should be imported too. Click the “Add” button.,And we got this ,Then choose “microsoft glossary”,Note: the excel glossary file must be saved as “. CSV” to be used.,The procedures are the same as before when importing waiting-to-be-checked files,Press “next”, then it pops up a box, choose Priority as “high”, and uncheck “remove duplicates” (default option), but check “key terms” instead. Then “ok”. And as to the next box, “ok” again.,The main window pops up, choose “QA”, then it displays like this click “check ongoing translation”,This is the report in the xbench interface. There may be many supposed mistakes, and it is at your discretion to decide whether they need to be fixed or not.,Put the cursor on the report, and right-click any item you want to modify, then choose “Edit source” or just press “Ctrl+Alt+Enter” to do this,If you want to export the report, right-click the item, choose “export QA results”, and there are many file types available.,
