Some people,who know little of Margaret Thatcher are usually has a very deep impression of her tenacious character that exactly like a man , and even tougher than men generally. However, according to a large number of research literature, the author believed that was only part of her in fact. After all, as a leader, she could not be only able to reach her goal with the only one kind of property. It is not the purpose of this article that restore a so-called real Margaret Thatcher, the focus of the research is summarized the objective and subjective factors that she can become a successful politician. The author selected and interpreted several prominent significant events of various stages of her political career; by analyzing the performance of some typical events, the characteristics of charismatic leadership of Thatcher as the top leader is refined. She has a clear leadership goals, implementing her political career has always been the ideal of saving the British pursuit; she knew the strength of herself and good used, so that the people and her subordinates agreed with the value that she publicized, and struggled for the revitalization of the United Kingdom.But she is not perfect,there were obvious flaws in her choice of leadership style, too much self-centered and over-tough attitude were directly linked to her failure.In this paper, the author would start from her failure to probe her choice of style;and from a gender perspective, to reveal the identity of women play a considerable role of the setbacks and opportunities in her political career;and then to further analyze the possible rejection and frustration in the 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 III career development of women leader,finally conclude that differences in leadership style should not be blindly used to explain gender differences.The meaning of gender is being rewritten by the impact of prominent women.With the development of the times and gender equality, the link between power and gender is slowly fading.
