Given the fact that in the next several decades, the major resources of power will still be coming from fossil fuel, especially from coal, CCS is considered to be one of the most important technologies that could help us avoid irreversible consequences of global climate change. 碳捕集与存储技术从点污染源,如火力发电厂,捕获温室气体二氧化碳并将其永久封存。在未来几十年,化石燃料,尤其是煤炭仍然将是我们主要的能源来源,因此,CCS技术被很多专家认为是人类避免气候变化带来 的不可逆转的灾难性后果的最重要的技术之一。 As one of the most cutting edge technologies, CCS is still at its early stage to be 1applied large-scale for commercial use. However, many developed countries have shown resolution to promote the technology. EU has announced an ambitious plan to pilot 12 CCS projects all over the world. It also plans to equip all its fire power stations that constructed after 2020 with CCS. 作为一项全新的技术,CCS 现在还没有进行大规模商业应用。但是,以欧盟为代表的发达国家已经展示出极大的决心,推广此项技术。欧盟计划投资 6070 亿欧元在全球建立12个CCS示范项目。 并计划规定所有2020年以后新建的火力发电站都采用CCS技术。 Like the other parts of China, Chongqing and its surrounding provinces in southwest China have more than half of their energy mix coming from coal. At the same time, those provinces are important fossil fuel producers, i.e. natural gas and coal, in China. CCS would be the technology to clean up their energy production in near future. 和全国大多数地区的情况一样,重庆和周边的西南省市主要的一次能源仍然是煤炭。同时,西南四省还是中国重要的煤炭和天然气产区。碳捕集及存储技术将在这里发挥极大的作用。 The half-day seminar will invite several CCS experts from abroad and China to bring about the lasted progress on CCS technology and to discuss and debate with the audiences on the commercial feasibility of the technology in the near future. 此“CCS未来的清洁煤技术”研讨会将邀请来自国内外的 CCS 专家,介绍 CCS 技术的最新进展,结合重庆和西南地区的实际情况,同参会人员探讨该技术商业应用的可行性。 Purpose: Raise the awareness among the potential users and policy makers in SW China about CCS, the future technology for clean coal.
