PEP 5 Unit 6 In a Nature Park(Period One) 说课稿,1. Analysis of the Book In unit 6, we are going to learn many nature sceneries which are always seen arround our lives, and we will compare cities to villages and find their differences. We will mainly study some new words and sentence structures. Actually, we have already learned the sentence patterns There is a/an . and There are. in unit 5. So the knowledge of this unit is not very difficult for students to understand and master. In period 1, so as in this lesson, we will learn 6 new words and practice the two sentence patterns. 2. Analysis of the Students To be honest, the students in grade 5 are mostly poor in English. Some of them dont have good habits to study English and some even hate it. So how to cultivate students positivities and enthusiasm to study English is more important. Teachers can use many ways to solve this problem, like using songs, stories, pictures, vedioes and so on. But this period is not very difficult for them to master because of the unit 5. So students should remember the words by their hearts and practice more to master them well and use them correctly.,3.Teaching Aims a.Knowledge goals: Let students listen, speak, read and write the new words and simple sentences. b.Ability goals: Make students master the new knowledge well and describe a nature park simply. c.Emotion goals: Cultivate students good qualities of loving and protecting the nature. 4.Key Points and Difficult Points a.Key points: The listening, speaking, reading and writing of the new words about following nature sceneries: flower, grass, forest, river, lake, path. So as the sentence: There is a forest in the nature park. b.Difficult points: Correctly use the sentence patterns There is a/an . and There are. 5.Teaching Aids Teaching plan, pictures, multimedia,crayons and papers .,6.Teaching Procedures a. Begining Daily greetings: The teacher greets students by saying Hello directly or by asking some simple questions, like Whats the weather like today? or How are you today? Brain-storming: We have learned some phrases in unit 5. The teacher asks students a few questions and let students answer them by using the giving phrases, like: T: What can you do at home? S1: I can do the dishes. S2: I can set the table. . S5: I can water the flowers. So the teacher leads to the new word : flower. b. Middle Through the brain-storming we can learn the new word flower, and we also have more practice to master the word well. In this part, students can feel the differences between There is a/an. and There are. Then we will learn the following new words one by one: grass, forest, river, lake, path.,The teacher leads students learn these new words by using pictures, doing actions or exercises, practicing in pairs and so on. Through the procedures of learning new words, students can practice the sentence structures at the same time. Like: There is a forest in the nature park. There are many flowers in the nature park. After learning all the new words, let students do some exercises to practice them again. The practice is good for students to master the words well. Ask students to take out their crayons and papers to draw pictures. The teacher draws on the board together with them. They must draw the things according to the teachers instructions. The picture must include the sceneries which we have learned today. It aims to review the words again in students joys. c. End Summary: Today we have learned some new words and practice the two sentence structures. They are both the key points of our lesson. Homework: Copy the new words several times and try to draw a more beautiful picture after school. 7.
