Then, ask Ss to practice asking for and giving directions in pairs.1. Suppose your partner is your cousin and he wants to visit you, but he doesnt know how to get to your new home.2. Now, you are in the classroom. Where do you sit? (near, between, next to, left, right, on the corner of)设计意图:通过让学生两人一组对话介绍自己家的位置,以及介绍自己在教室里的位置,有助于巩固问路与指路的句型以及方位介词的用法。Step II Presentation1. Ask Ss to read the sentences in Language Practice and pay attention to the red words and expressions.2. Guide Ss to summarize how to ask for and give directions. 3. Explain the usage of position preposition. 设计意图:先让学生主动去发现语法现象,然后再进行总结讲解,能够调动学生的积极性,增强其对知识的掌握。Step III PracticeGrammar exercisesT shows some exercises from the senior high school entrance examination and lets Ss finish them. Then check the answers in the whole class.设计意图:通过让学生做近年中考题巩固方位介词的知识点,在体验中考题型的过程中加深对该语法点的理解。Activity 1Ask Ss to look at the map at first, then guide them to ask and answer in pairs.Student A: Choose a starting place on the map.
