The third party force and Xian incident1.0 The reason why I picked this particular topicXian incident was the successful abnormal coup initiated by the patriotic Kuomingtang generals who endeavored to turn Jiang Jieshis policy “suppressing the internal rebellion before resisting the external invasion ” at the moment of deeper invasion by Japanese army and fatal decision of Chinese nation; the peaceful resolution of Xian incident actually ceased the civil war, enhanced the second cooperation between Kuomingtang and Communist Party and constructed the initial national united front of resistance against Japan, thus became the hinge of turning the political situation.2.0 The arrangement of teaching Based on the guidance of historical materialism of Marxism, this teaching explores the enhancing role of the Third Party force in the occurrence of Xian Incident from the following five aspects: consensus preparation, mass people foundation, the ideaturning of Zhang Xueliang, the formation of “three in one” political situation in North-west China and the fuse of Xian Incident.This teaching describes the occurrence and peaceful resolution of Xian Incident from the perspective of Third Party with national bourgeois as the principal, explores its role in Xian Incident, and in turn analyses the status and contribution of national bourgeois in Chinese history of revolutionary united fronts. Besides, the teaching tools mainly include the Historical pictures gained from Chinese academic community, relevant audio-visual archives, and some relevant movie.In the end of this teaching, I will have a class debate and get a guest speaker to tall about the specific historical details of xian incident.3.0 The relationship between main characters and xian incident 3.1 Yang Hu-chengXian incident changed the course of the Chinese history in which General Yang Hu-cheng played a significant role. This teaching will deal with Yang Hu-chengs patriotic though and the relationship between his and CPC, Chang Hseuh-liang and Chiang Kai-shek in order to show his anti-Japanese and patriotic thought; this teaching also analyze the role Yang plays in the xian incident including the advocating of the military proposal, the preparation for capturing Chiang Kai-shek, his cooperation in capturing Chiang in Lingtong, and his effort in bringing about a peaceful settlement of the incident and teach his role in the post-incident period to give an overall picture of the general.3.2 Chang Hseuh-liangThe most successful case was towards Chang Hseuh-liang. It resulted in the xian incident, which turned a new page of Chinese history1. The three periods are before xian incident, during these three periods, the relationship is summarized in from anti-communist to extermination Communist, uniting with Communist, and maintaining a lukewarm relationship. The result of changing, developing of the relationship of Chang Hseuh-liang and CCP has terminated the civil war for ten years, promoted co-operation between CCP and KMT for the second time, laid the basis of thorough victory over anti-Japan and exerted a tremendous influence on Chinese political situation at that time.4.0 Conclusion of this teaching In this teaching, I think the Third Party force played a unique and indispensable role in the peaceful resolution of Xian Incident. Firstly, the Third Party took the first initiative to propose the peaceful resolution; secondly the Third Party took measures to check the possible civil war provoked by the Kuomingtang; finally the Third Party enhanced the peaceful resolution. Based on the historical facts, this teaching draws two conclusions: the role of the Third Party in Xian Incident and its peaceful resolution was irreplaceable; the Third Party, as well as a constituent of national united front of resistance against Japan, was a founder of national united front of resistance against Japan. 5.0 Bibliography for student There are some bibliographies for students to understand the xian incident.
