I quit my job XX ago to concentrate on English studies. After this test, Ill look around to see what suits me. d) Im a student. Im doing trade and economics in Beijing technology and Business University. 4. How do you think about your major or work? a) On one hand, Ive always enjoyed studying English, because I find it very interesting to learn western history and culture. But on the other hand, I quite worry about my career path because in my opinion, English major means no major unless I want to work as an English teacher or editor, hehe. So, Ive been eager to improve myself in other areas, such as business English, or Computer skills. b) On one hand, Ive always enjoyed studying Economics,because I find it very interesting to analyse economic phenomena with economic thought. But on the other hand, I quite worry about my career path because in my opinion, field of trade and economics have low barriers to entry so that lots people can engaged in, hehe. So, Ive been eager to improve myself in other areas, such as business English, or Computer skills. c) Finance sounds like a very prospective subject, but its really not my cup of tea. Im not very good at math and logic, and the numbers and mathematical models really give me lots of headaches. So, Ive decided not to do anything related to financial analysis after graduation.2d) XX is often described as a “comfortable” major because our compulsory subjects such as XX and XX, all seem to be a lot easier than the courses in other majors like computer or engineering. However, I really worry if the ease in studies today may become the difficulty in job hunting tomorrow! So, I guess I have to study harder to make myself more competitive. 5. Could you tell me about your ambitions for the future? a) Well, my immediate career goal after obtaining the Bachelors Degree is joining an international telecommunications company, for instance, Hua Wei, or Nokia, to work as a telecommunications products sales. And then, I want to advance myself to senior sales management positions. b) Well, my short term goal after obtaining the Economics Degress is going to University of International Business and Economics to study Interpretation. After graduation, Ill realize my long term goal, to be an business interpreter. c) My short term goal is to join a big company to work in either sales or marketing department. After accumulating enough management know-how, Ill realize my long term goal, start my own business. d) Frankly speaking, I havent decided on my career plans since Im still just a sophomore, but I think theres a good chance that Ill further my studies in International Business till I get the Masters Degree. And then, Ill advance myself in this field.PERSONAL VIEWS 6. How has the internet changed our buying habits? In todays hectic world, time is money. Via Internet we buy things at home, in consequence, we save our time in dressing and traffic. Moreover,we dont need stand form in line when purchasing. Such convenients make our life more comfortable and more environment friendly. 7. Could you tell me how important you think English is in business life in China? English plays an significant role in business life in China. Economic globalization enquires us keep close contact with foreign clients which English ability is necessary and essential. We need English to establish our brand, develop our markets, enhance our competition within the global enviornment. PASS English is very important in todays China. With Chinas entry into the WTO, more and more chinese companies are doing business with foreign companies. When we communicate, we need a common language and English is such a language that is most often used in intertional contacts. 8. Could you tell me what effect you think new technology is having on business life in China?3New technology accelerate the rate of economic growth.
