The crane shall have a boom (see Data Sheets for Boom type), onboard controls, and a diesel engine power package.1.2.VENDOR shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, crating for domestic shipping, insurance and other services necessary to perform the work described herein.All materials, equipment and parts comprising the unit shall be new and free from defects or imperfections. All cranes shall be manufactured, inspected and tested in accordance with API Specification 2C and shall have the API monogram. Proof of current API certification shall be presented with VENDORs quotation.1.3.Alternatives, or additions to these specifications which are required by good design practice shall be presented in writing at the time the bid is submitted. All costs for these shall be listed separately as an addendum to the base bid.1.4.In case of conflict between the requirements of this specification and those of other documents contained or referenced herein, the VENDOR shall immediately submit the matter in writing to COMPANY, who will provide a written clarification.1.5.The crane shall be designed for an offshore atmosphere and rated for 24 hour duty.2.0CODES AND STANDARDSThe publications listed below form part of this specification and shall be interpreted as the minimum acceptable requirements. Ambient temperature range is 40-100F with a humidity range between 65-100 percent (%). Maximum sustained wind velocity is 131 mph with gusts to 166 mph. Crane equipment shall be suitable for installation in an unclassified area.3.2.Performance Criteria3.2.1.Crane dynamic and static ratings shall be in accordance with API Specification 2C, latest edition. See data sheet for required rating.3.2.2.All hook loads shall be based as though at the boom tip with top rope layer used.3.2.3.The crane hook speeds shall be as specified on the bid data sheet with the reference point at the water line.3.3.Power PackGeneral3.3.1.The power pack shall be attached to the rotating assembly. A service walkway a minimum of 24“ wide with handrails shall be provided on at least three (3) sides of the power unit.3.3.2.The engine shall be provided with a full hood and side panels.3.3.3.The power pack shall be mounted on a structural steel skid with a lifting frame. A 1/4“ thick steel drip pan sloped to a drain connection shall be provided under and extending 6“ beyond the edge of all equipment, including the hydraulic and fuel reservoirs.Spec No. 01-09PLATFORM
