Anders Bering Brevik is accused of killing 77 people in Norway last autumn. 2. His trial has just begun in Bergen. 3. Brevik told the court that he acknowledged the acts hed committed, but didnt accept psychological responsibility. 4. The BBC reporter in Oslo is Sean Rosenberg. 5. When Brevik was led into the courtroom and his handcuffs removed, he clenched his face and made a far-right salute. 6. When the trial began, Brevik said he refused to recognise the charges. 7. He said the court received its mandate from political parties which support Communism. 8. As the prosecutors read out the names of the 77 victims, Brevik became very emotional. 9. He stared down at his feet. 10. Brevik claimed he committed the acts to defend the State.11. A French team of UN observers has arrived in Damascus to monitor Syrias fragile ceasefire. 12. There have been reports of further shooting in the city of Homs. 13. The observers will be joined by other monitors later today.14.
