Each suggest one or two places to visit. 2) Each should raise a reason for your choices. 3) Work out the table by writing your details.Recording script Hi, ladies and gentlemen, let me take you through the tourist attractions pof New York City for today. Here is a list of 18 tourist attracitons, but due to the limit of the time, we can only cover nine of them today. The first is Time square, which is located between Broadway and 42th street. The name originated from the fact that the famous New York Times newspaper building was once located here. This is the spot where the pulse of city can be found. It is also the most exciting location of Manhattan during the evening hour. It is a cibrant area with play houses, restaurants and shopsit is the city of lights. On our second slide show is the Natural History Museum. The American Museum of Natural History is one of the world famous attractions in New York City. There ate four floors of exhibits in this large building: it shows all aspects of life from the beginning of time to the present. On this picture is Fith Avenue. It is the renowned street for the large number of the expensive brand name shops. With the beautiful display windows, the famous shops are lined up along each side of the street one after another. Now, lets move on to the next picture. The St. Patricks Cathedral. The St. Patricks Cathedral is the seat of Archbishop o fNew York. It is the largest decorated Gothic styled Catholic Cathedral in the United States. And it has been recognized throughout the history as the center of the catholic life in this county. Ground Zero. Nobody would ever forget the death and the destruction of the World Trade Center buildings on the fatal day of Sept 11, 2001. All people around the world felt the pain of New Yorkers on that day. The Brooklyn Bridge which joins Manhattan and Brooklyn was officially completed in 1883. At that time it was th elongest bridge made. For a penny toll cost, people were allowed to cross the brdge. This included people, trolleys, all heavy vehicles, and even live stocks. Ellis Island. Grom 1892 to 1954 over 12 million immigrants passed through the federal Immigration Station at Ellis Island, a small island in the New York Harbor. Chinatown. It is the larges Chinatown in the United States, and it is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Manhattan.
