The new lines and proportions give expression to the market values of dynamism, challenge and cultivated style.The kidney grille and double headlights, typical BMW hallmarks, are retained. The materials used are of an ultra- high standard of quality.The dashboard has been fully redesigned and addresses driver and front passenger alike. The layout places all the drivers control elements in the drivers central field of vision and reach. Later (probably 2002) these models will be followed by the 760i with the new N73 engine. The range will soon be extended to include a 730d and 740d along with a 730i.The long version E66, too, will be available as of 2002. Plans for an E67 security model are also well advanced.DimensionsThe E65 is larger than the predecessor model, the E38, and the dimensions are as follows:As this table shows, the E65 is 65 mm longer than the E38. The E65 is 40 mm wider than the E38 and higher by 60 mm.
