See the Migrating VMware Workspace Portal document for information.VMware Identity Manager was formerly named VMware Workspace Portal.Upgrade ScenariosnYou can only upgrade a VMware Identity Manager service virtual appliance.nUpgrade of an entire cluster is not supported.If you have deployed a cluster, you need to perform certain tasks before upgrade, upgrade the master virtual appliance, and then create a cluster again. See “Upgrading a Cluster,” on page 11 for information.nIf you deployed a connector-only virtual appliance, connected to a service virtual appliance, first upgrade the service virtual appliance, then deploy a new connector-only virtual appliance.Internet ConnectivityYou can upgrade to VMware Identity Manager 2.4.x online or offline.By default, the VMware Identity Manager appliance uses the VMware Web site for the upgrade procedure, which requires the appliance to have Internet connectivity. You must also configure proxy server settings for the appliance, if applicable.If your virtual appliance does not have Internet connectivity, you can perform the upgrade offline.
