AbstractMany middle school students in learning English vocabulary, lacking of effective ways, and teachers should attach great importance to this issue. In the teaching process we should adhere to the effectiveness of policies and practice in teaching of vocabulary, and so that students understand a certain word formation, phonics and spelling rule; master collocations, contextual application of skills to ensure students to grasp the scientific and effective learning strategies to form good study skills, improve proficiency of the language and to lay a good foundation for lifelong learning. In foreign language learning, one of the most important and basic element is the vocabulary. The size of the vocabulary of the language directly affects the development of student skills. You can not actually use the language unless you reserve a certain number of words. Vocabulary teaching is an integral part of the English teaching. English curriculum goals for junior high students vocabulary knowledge goals have specific requirements, and except to require students to learn English vocabulary, including words, phrases, idioms and fixed with other forms word concepts, to study and understand the vocabulary and active vocabulary words were made to understand and comprehend the basic meaning and significance in a particular context, and the use of words to describe things, behavior and characteristics, illustrate the concept of requirements” .Key words: English vocabulary, learning strategies, English curriculum goals摘要目前许多初中生在学习英语词汇时,缺乏对英语词汇的有效学习,作为教师应该对此问题高度重视,在教学过程中坚持对词汇教学进行有效性策略的研究和实践,让学生了解一定的构词法、拼读和拼写规律;掌握词语搭配、语境应用等技巧,使学生掌握科学有效的学习策略,形成良好的学习技能,提高语言综合运用能力,为终身学习打下良好的基础。 在外语学习中,学生要掌握的一个最重要、最基本的元素就是词汇。词汇量的大小直接影响学生各项语言技能的发展。不储备一定数量的词汇,就不能实际运用语言。词汇教学是英语教学的一个组成部分。英语课程目标对初中阶段学生的词汇知识目标有了具体的规定,除了要求学生了解“英语词汇包括单词、短语、习惯用语和固定搭配等形式”的词语概念外,对学习领会词汇和活用词汇分别作了理解和领悟词语的基本含义以及在特定语境中的意义“和运用词汇描述事物、行为和特征,说明概念”。 关键词:英语词汇;学习策略;英语课程目标1. However, in classroom teaching, we should let students themselves to observe, understand, think, find, speculation, and summarized the vocabulary or rules. Teachers only pay attention to their teaching, and neglected the students and students subject status, ignore the cultivation of the students thinking ability and innovation ability.2.2 According to the textbook to teach the word.Only books appear on the word teaching in the classroom teaching, not linked to student life, and moderate expansion of some students interested in the vocabulary. Appropriate expansion of related content and a little outside the appropriate extension not only cause the curiosity of students, but also embodies the spirit to teach students in accordance with their aptitude, which means let good students learn more points. 3. Vocabulary teaching methods3.1 Listening, shape and sound combinationVocabulary teaching must carry out the leading principles, and according to Chinas nine years of compulsory education. Therefore, vocabulary teaching must to be the first Teachers should let the students listen and let them to distinguish sounds. The teachers not only show the words in the textbook, but also several phonemes, syllables, stress in what place. Secondly, spelling words according the rules of pronunciation (Cheng Shilu, 1996:93). Therefore, in vocabulary teaching, teachers should pay attention to the combination of sound and form, and to ensure students to be sound with possible corresponding form together, and put some form may correspond to a certain sound together through repeated practice in the brain ,and set up a kind of word pronunciation. Shape pattern association let the students make a long vowel, such as i: and she, see, sea, piece in words like vowels and vowel combination form together.
