Pupils are able to use and understand the sentence pattern: Im helpful. I canAbility aims: 1. Pupils are able to use the new phrases and sentence to describe what they can do in their daily life.2. Pupils are able to do the action under the teachers order.Affect aims:1. Pupils are expected to be helpful at home.Key points:1. Pupils are able to master the four phrase“ sweep the floor, cook the meals ,clean the bedroom, water the flowers ” and can read and understand the phrase“empty the trash.”.Difficult points:1. Pupils are able to pronounce the phrases correctly and fluently.Teaching strategies:Direct method ,situational language teaching method, task-based teaching approach, communicative teaching method .Teaching aids:CAI, teaching cards of the five new phrases, printed forms, some presentsTeaching procedure:一、Warm- up(2min)1. Sing a song “I can help ”from this unit.2. Some daily greetings.二、Presentations(22min)Build a situation: T draw a green grass on the Bb and says that: do you know the green grass?(青青草原) Man yangyang want to find a helpful assistant . Now the sheep are having an interview on the grass.T let the Ss be Man yangyang and ask the sheep with the sentence: what can you do ?1.teach the phrase: sweep the floorT Show the picture of Xi yangyang on the PPT.T: Wow ,this is Xi yangyang .Xi yangyang , Xi yangyang, what can you do ?Xi :I can sweep the floor. T: Oh, you are helpful.
