11. Introduction1.1 The aim of this studyNowadays, with the development of society, in Chinese schools, teacher-student relationship is more open. Teacher-student relationship is no longer just a simple object of study and has been learning, teachers are now more like students friends, they not only provide assistance in learning, but more concerned about the students encountered in the process of emotional growth, life, future and other issues .It is the trend of quality-oriented education. It has been widely accepted that cultivating an equal harmonious and affective environment between teachers and students will have positive effects on the study of English for many student (Lu Jia mei 2002) A harmonious teacher-student relationship makes English teaching effective and is good for the development of both teachers and students. Effective interaction and happy cooperation between students cab bring about good teaching result (Lu Jia mei 2002) teacher-student relationship is the process of teaching the most basic and important human relationships, Promoting their full physical, mental and personality development will greatly benefit. 1.2 The significance of this studyEnglish teaching is a process that teachers and students do activities together, which it is also a process of students, learning English under teachers instruction. English teachers should pay attention to the mutual exchanges with students when imparting knowledge and developing students intelligence. A harmonious teacher-student relationship can promote students learning motility and evoke students enthusiasm for English learning. Therefore, in English teaching activities, teachers and students should respect and trust each other, making harmonious cooperation. Human feelings are a kind of psychological phenomenon, which accompanies the process of cognition (Yi Xiubo, 2004). It is a significant factor that cannot be omitted in the process of English learning and teaching. Teacher-student relationship in the school occupies a great position, only a happy and harmonious coexistence among students will make the school atmosphere and the fun of learning have been enhanced. 2Teacher-student relationship is cooperation between teachers and students which requires active attendances from both sides. Therefore, building a quality education needed to adapt to the new teacher-student relationship is of great significance.2. Literature Review2.1 Traditional Teacher-student relationshipTraditional view is that teachers and students is the education and learning relationship. The teacher-centered teaching is carried out and has many short comings .It ignores students principle in learning, Theres lack of communicate between students and teachers. Teachers should be the counselor and facilitator rather than controller and leader.(Hua Wenfen.2002) In addition, traditional values, knowledge and teaching has been seen as the main content of teaching, education and teaching activities were too concerned about the intellectual development to the neglect of emotion education and Personality. This directly affects the value orientation of teacher-student relationship. Teachers are seen as cultural heritage of the tools students education is the largest batch processing plants out of products. This makes the binary opposition of the teacher-student relationship between teachers and students cast a shadow and the unequal status of teacher-student relationship instrumental color.2.2 New teacher-student relationshipTeacher-student relationship is a system of social relations in a multi-factor system of relations, not only reflects the socio-economic, political, and moral relations, but also includes promising to achieve educational goals, complete the task of teaching the relationship between teaching and learning, but also the psychological emotional behavior relations.
