Currently, more and more Chinese people are learning English, however, under the influence of Chinese culture and thinking patterns, they produce a large amount of Chinglish. Chinglish, of course, is that misshapen, hybrid language that is neither English nor Chinese but that might be described as English with Chinese characteristics. This thesis offers examples of Chinglish to give a clear description of the features of Chinglish and analyzes the causes of Chinglish from both academic and practical aspect.
