Interactive signals like the STB access authentication and the EPG Information browsing are interacted through IP bi-directional channel. However, audio and video streams are transmitted to IPQAM equipment in appropriate encapsulation format. The equipment modulates the streams to RF signals, then transmits the signals to the STB through the HFC network.,The biggest difference between the IPQAM technology and the IPTV technology is that the IPTV uses only the IP network no matter the audio and video streams or the two-way interaction signals.To IPTV,HFC is not Necessary,and IPTV STB havnt RF Input interface.,The two technologies, IPQAM and IPTV are usually used as bi-directional services in Interactive TV.
