IntroductionThe purpose of this on-line computer system is to support a web-based system for the management of a beauty salon. This project is provided for the clients of the beauty salon and the administrators in the beauty salon. The functions of system are different when it is oriented to clients and administrators because of their different authorities. This project (code is based on php language) will result in the development of an efficient on-line computer system for the management of beauty salon.1.1. Project Background This project is used by clients and administrators to coordinating and managing every function sections ( register, logon, predetermine, query, cosmetics selling, feedback, management ) to complete the whole computer system of the management of beauty salon. On the basis of the elementary design achievement, the project will keep doing some further maintenance and perfection to complete the whole process of the development of this web-based computer system. 1.2Project overviewThis web based computer system is helpful for improving the efficiency of beauty salon management which is different from the traditional management process (hand writing) that makes administrators spend a lot of time on recording which client need which service and the service time and scheduling every parts of management of beauty salon. The events occupy in beauty salon management involves register, logon, predetermine of service, query, cosmetics selling, feedback, management of orders and so on. These events can be completed by this computer system which makes beauty salon management in a high efficiency. Through computing based on web (php language based), it not only improves beauty salon system appearance, but also gives positive effects on salons management and service.1.3 AimsThe aim of writing this requirement document is to analyze and explicit what functions this computer system should complete. First, this computer system Software Requirements Specifications Document2011/10/103should have a database which stores the accounts and passwords of clients and administrators, and it also stores the information of all the provided service . Second, this computer system should support query of the order of service, clients can see service type, time, relevant beautician and so on. Third, this computer system should develop a system for clients buying some cosmetics on-line. And the administrators can put products onto the web for clients to choose, and manage this products. Forth, there should be a forum for clients to feedback their feelings of services got and the cosmetics they bought. The administrators and other clients can reply and give their suggestions. Fifth, the system should have a section which is oriented to administrators to deal with the whole lists of orders and manage them. The administrators can delete, modify, add and print this order forms.1.4 Types of usersThere are two types of users for this computer system of management beauty salon include clients who receive service and administrators who manage the orders booked by clients and the cosmetics on-line. They have different authorities when they log on by their different accounts and passwords. For clients, they can predetermine service and query their order, but they cant see other clients orders or modify their orders. But for administrators, they can manage all the orders.2. Platform This on-line computer system being produced shall be executed on the clients existing hardware which is in the standard computers of the accommodation. These computers shall be running Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. The system may not run in any other platform.
