为了适应公司新战略的发展,保障停车场安保新项目的正常、顺利开展,特制定安保从业人员的业务技能及个人素质的培训计划傲慢与偏见英语读书报告AReadingReportofPrideandPrejudiceClass7,XXBOOKINTRODUCTIONPrideandPrejudiceisoneoftherepresentativeworksofJaneAusten,firstpublishedin1813.Itsverypopularamongmodernreaders,continuingnearthetopoflistsofmostlovedbooksandhasbeenproducedintomovieform.ThelatestmovieversionofXXwonover100millionbookingoffice.Theauthor,JaneAusten,Englishwriter,wastheseventhofeightchildrenandshewasborninthevillageofSteventoninHampshirein1775anddiedin1817.JaneAustenaccepthereducationathomeandbegintowriteatherearlyage.Austenwaswidelyreadinherlifetime,andwrotemany1793,JaneAustenbegantowriteElinorandMarianne,anovellaterreworkedintoSenseandyearslater,shewrotefirstImpressions,whichwasanearlyversionofhermasterpiecePrideand1797,shewroteSusan,lateritbecomeNorthangerAbbey.In1811,shewroteMansfieldwroteEmmain1814andPersuasionin1816.Clarity,economy,skillful,useofdialogueandtightplottingarethemainfeaturesofJaneAustensisalwaysaneat,roundandrathersatisfyingcompletenesstoherplots.Besides,sheispossessedofaneathumorandasatiricaltouch.Althoughthemosturgentpreoccupationofherbright,youngheroinesiscourtshipandfinallymarriage,Austenherselfnevermarried.VirginiaWoolfcalledAustenthemostperfectartistamongwomen.PLOTOPrideandPrejudicehasbeenconsideredthemostimportantandfamousnovelamongallherworks.ThenarrativebeginwithMrBingley,awealthy,charmingandsocialyoungmanmovingintoNetherfieldhouseintheneighborhoodoftheBennetfamilywhichhasfivemarriageabledaughters.ThefirstsceneisataballafterMrBingleysballthedaughtersareintroducedtothenewcomers.MrBingleysinglesoutElizabethseldersister,Jane,forparticularattention,anditsoonbecomesapparentthattheyhaveformedanattachmenttoeach,MrBingleysfriend,MrDarcymakesalessfavorablefirstimpressionbyappearingproudandcondescendin.Especially,Janereallygetarevoltingfeelingonhim.MrsbannetwantJanetopayavisittoMrBingleyssister,inordertoincreasecome-and-go.Unfortunately,Janeiscaughtinaheavydownpour,catchescold,andisforcedtostayatNetherfieldforseveraldays.Elizabetharrivestocoinhastwosides,allthisunfortunatecreateanopportunityforthetwosisterstogetclosertotwoman.TherelationshipbetweenMrBingleyandJanehasbeenimproved,whilethatofJaneandMrDarcymakenodifferenceasbefore.Latter,MrCollins,aclergyman,paysavisittotheBennetstochooseawifefromamongtheBennetsistersandElizabethhasbeensingledout.MrCollinsproposesmarriagetoElizabeth,whorefuseshim,muchtohermothersdistress,becauseshedislikeshisgreasinessfortheupperclass.MrCollinsrecoversandpromptlybecomesengagedtoElizabethsclosefriendCharlotte,ahomelywomanwithfewprospects.ElizabethformsanacquaintancewithMrWickham,amilitiaofficerwhoclaimstohavebeenveryseriouslymistreatedbyMrDarcy,despitehavingbeenawardofMrDarcysfather.ThereforeElizaberthsattractiontoMrWickham,addsfueltoherdislikeofMrDarcy.Moreover,MrBingleyleaveforLondonwithoutsayingfarewelltotheBannetsandElizabethisconvincedthatMrDarcyandMrBingleyssisterhaveconspiredtoseparatehimfromisheart-brokenandElizaberthbecomesmoredislikeMrDarcy.Inthespring,ElizabethvisitsCharlotteandMrCollinsinKent.ElizabethandherhostsarefrequentlyinvitedtoLadyCatherinedeBourgh,MrCollinssponsoraswellasDarcysaunt.DarcycomeacrossElizaberthagainandfindshimselfattractedtoElizabethsincetheirfirstmeetandimpetuouslyproposestoher.However,ElizaberthhasjustlearnedofDarcysroleinseparatingMrBingleyfromJanefromhisshechargeshimwithdestroyinghersistershappiness,withtreatingMrWickhamdisgracefully,andwithhavingconductedhimselftowardsherinanungentlemanbehavior.SoMrDarcyisrejected.MrDarcy,shocked,ultimatelyrespondsinagentlemanwaywithalettergivingagoodaccountof(mostof)hisactionsElizabethlatercametoacknowledgethetruthofDarcysassertions.TheprejudiceofElizaberthagainstDarcyspridedisappeared.TurningpointSomemonthslater,ElizabethandherAuntandUncleGardinervisitPemberley,Darcysestate,duringhisleft.Hereturnsunexpectedly,andhetreatstheGardinerswithgreatcivility;heintroducesElizabethtohissister,andElizabethbeginstorealiseherattractiontoreacquaintanceiscutshort.ThenLydia,Elizabethssister,hasrunawaytoelopewithMrDarcytaketheresponsibilitytofindthecoupleandtonegotiatetheirmarriageatgreatexpensetohimself.ElizabethisshockedbutdoesnotdwellfurtheronthetopicduetoMrBingleysreturnandsubsequentproposaltoJane,whoimmediatelyaccepts.However,LadyCatherinedeBourghlaterburstsinonLongbourn,intendingtothwartlocalrumour,shewarnsElizabethagainstmarryingMrDarcy.Elizabethrefusesherdemands.Disgusted,LadyCatherineleavesanddropsbytoinformhernephewonElizabethsabominablebehaviour.However,thislendshopetoDarcythatElizabethsopinionofhimmayhavechanged.HetravelstoLongbournandproposesagain;andnowElizabethaccepts.Fouryouthfinallyfindtheirtrueloveandmarrythem.Thenarrativemeetsthehappyending.PrideandPrejudicearetwocommonweakpointsusuallyseeninourdailyareeasilybetrappedbytheappearanceofthething.Differentclasseswiththediscrepancyofwealthhavetheirsocialdisease-theupperclasswithgoodwealthsometimesbehaveindiffe
