We certify that we have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for the appropriateness of the experimental design and method, and the collection, analysis, and interpretation of the data. We have reviewed the final version of the manuscript and approve it for publication. To the best of our knowledge and belief, this manuscript has not been published in whole or in part nor is it being considered for publication elsewhere. Best Regards. Yours Sincerely, Yu-Yue Qin, Institute of Chemical Engineering, Kunming University of Science and Technology, 650224, Kunming, China, E-mail address: rabbqy163.com,Highlight,Chinese Indocalamus tesselatus is one of the most popular food packing materials in China. 80% ethanol extract presented higher total phenolic and flavonoid content. Several mechanisms of potential antioxidant activities, including DPPH free-radical scavenging activity, reducing power and lipid peroxidation, and antibacterial activity towards Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aurous, Bacillus cereus and Bacillus subtilis were examined. The antioxidant and antibacterial activities of Indocalamus tesselatus extract implicate its potential for natural preservation.,Title page,Inductively coupled plasma orthogonal acceleration time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ICP-oa-TOF-MS) analysis of heavy metal content in Indocalamus tesselatus samples Yu-Yue Qin a, *, Zhi-Hong Zhang a, Lin Li b, Chun-Sheng Chen a, Sha Shun a, Yin-Chuan Huang c aInstitute of Chemical Engineering, Kunming University of Science and Technology, 650550, Kunming, China b College of Light Industry and Food Science, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou 510640, China c Nansha entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau, 511455, Guangzhou, China Corresponding author.
