Construction on the data center started in January 2010, and it opened in December 2011. The construction area of phase one is around 24,000m2, including two buildings for computer rooms and staff offices. The five-floor computer room building offers 12 computer room modules, with a floor load bearing of 900kg/m2. Processing a grade-7 anti-seismic design, the building was constructed in compliance with the grade-8 anti-seismic standard. Geographic Location The data center is 20 km away from downtown Shanghai, 40 km from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, and 35 km from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. A convenient stereoscopic transportation network connects the data center with downtown Shanghai and peripheral cities close by, such as Yanggao Road, Zhangyang Road, Yangpu Bridge, Middle Ring, Outer Ring, Metro Line 6, Huchongsu Highway (under construction), Pudong Railway and Metro Line 10 (under planning) etc. Overview T3T4 computer rooms Computer room area of 6,432 m2 Total power capacity of 32,000 kVA Power density 1.4kW/m2 上海外高桥数据中心概述 A Summary of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Data CenterHighlights of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Data Center 上海外高桥数据中心亮点 02/03 万国数据上海外高桥数据中心位于上海市浦东保税区外高桥科 技园区,于 2010 年 1 月动工,2011 年 12 月投入运营,一期建筑 面积约 24,000m2,分为机房楼和办公楼两个建筑。机房楼共 5 层, 提供12个机房模块,机房地板承重(楼面荷载)达900公斤/m2,依 照 7 级抗震设计,8 级抗震结构的标准进行建造。 Layout Design of the Data Center Highlights of Security Power Capacity The duplex 35 kV power supplies are both deployed with stabilizers that can adjust voltage automatically with load. The entire power supply and distribution system ensures voltage stability from the source and provides fundamental guarantees to equipment after class (UPS etc), which further ensures the quality of the entire power supply and distribution system. Sub-area Generator System The Backup generator system is supplied through small side systems. Each generator has two corresponding transformers, composing a small system. Entire Redundancy Design Old-fashioned equipment redundancy was abandoned in the air- conditioning system design, and replaced with a highly functional, systematic design philosophy.
