There are unlicensed frequency bands that are available in most countries of the world. Outside these, to use a particular frequency or frequency band users must apply for a license - and typically pay for the use of the frequency. Radio frequency allocation and use is controlled by national regulators National regulators and administrators interact through ITU (International Telecommunication Union) Use of unlicensed frequency bands such as 2.4 and 5 GHz: In most countries/territories do not require a license however check the local regulations If license is needed it is issued for the user of the system License can be obtained from the regulator.
