文学翻译中的误译现象初探 APreliminaryResearchonMistranslationinLiteraryTranslation. Abstract Withacloseexaminationofliterarytranslation,eitherfromChinesetoEnglish,orEnglishtoChinese,theauthoranalyzesthecategoriesofmistranslationwiththesupportofvariousexamples.Mistranslationisdividedintotwocategories:oneisnegativemistranslation,theotherispositivemistranslation.Theireffectscanalsobedividedintonegativeeffectsandpositiveeffects.Itisconcludedthat,eventhoughlinguisticinpetenceandirresponsibilitymaytoalargeextentprecipitatemistranslation,whichshouldbeavoidedbythetranslatorsutmosteffort,thepositivemistranslationshouldbeencouragedforitis,todifferentdegrees,conductivetothespreadingofforeignworks;sometimeshelpsdisclosethepotentialmeaningoftheoriginalwork;inmostcases,positivemistranslationcontributestothepromotionofthenationalculture.
