Unit 8 Shapes 教案Teaching aims:Structures (New)Receptive: What shape is it?Productive: Its a square.Structures (Review)Receptive: What is this?Productive: Its a (dog).Vocabulary: square circle triangle star heart rectangle(New) Rabbit bird mouse lion tiger panda net nest Teaching preparation:poster for Unit 7poster for this Unit Pencils or crayons from coloring Teaching steps:Step 1: Warm-up(1) Say “stand up” and have the children begin moving around the room.(2) Say, “Tiger” and have the children respond by imitating a tiger with movements and noises. (3) Repeat this for other animals learned in Unit 7. Have the children continue to move around the classroom.(4) Say “sit down” and hold up the flashcards for each animal. Ask, “What is it?” and have the children respond, “Its a (tiger).”(5) Repeat for all the words of animals.Step 2: Preview(1) Hold up the flashcard for square and have the children look at it.(2) Repeat the step above and present the new vocabulary.(3) Repeat the new words by holding up different shapes and eliciting the words from the children in a choral drill, and then form individuals.Step 3: Lets say(4) Direct the children to open their books and draw their attention to the photograph of the ostrich. Point to the ostrich and say,” This is an ostrich(5) Play the tape, pointing to the picture of the word.(6) Now reply the tape and have the children touch the picture as they listen.(7) Play the tape one more time and have the children listen and repeat the word, ostrich.Repeat the steps above for other words.Step 4: Say the rhyme(1) Look at the animals on the page 14.(2) Ask them to talk about what they know about these animals.(3) Say “ostrich” Have them imitate an ostrich. Repeat with other animal.(4) Draw the childrens attention to the ostrich. Point to its leg and say “Leg”. Ask the students to find out how many legs an ostrich has.(5) Play the tape. Have them listen and point to the corresponding picture.Play the tape again. This time, have the students to imitate the animals they hear on the tape. Step 5: Draw and say(1) Say, “Open your book.” Have the children look at the first picture and Mucky.(2) Direct the childrens attention to the decorative shapes on the fence. Tell them that there is a rule guiding the appearance of these shapes and Mucky is trying to figure out what the following shapes on the fence would be.(3) Give the children enough time to discover the rule and then have them draw shapes on the fence.(4) Repeat the steps above.Step 6: homework.Ask the children to review the words and sentences of this unit.
