The exhibition displayed the results of a cultural exchange program initiated in Hangzhou on May 7， 2021.The program was unveiled in front of a stately statue of Marco Polo on the lakeside of the West Lake in Hangzhou. Within the following 365 days spanning 2021 and 2021， 101 artists from Italy visited Hangzhou in different times. They were there to see the city which Marco Polo had explored centuries ago and to paint their experiences and impressions of the city. They strolled in lanes and streets of the city， which was praised by Marco Polo in his famous travelogue， enjoyed the citys scenic beauty and made sense of the diversity of the citys culture.
