明 喻（Simile）所谓明喻，主要是把具有某些类似、相同特征的两种不同事物或人加以对比，并用另一种事物或人来比喻要描述的事物或人。明喻所描述的事物和人在文字表达上比较直接、明了，也比较容易理解；常常有像什么一样；如什么一样等意思。比如：That man is as cunning as a fox.英语的明喻运用比较简单，一般只要在被比喻的事物或人之前用as; asas; like; no morethan (notany more than) 等词，就可以了。例句：1.The world is like a stage.2.He has no more idea of music than a cow.3.His stepmother treated him as hard as the nether milestone.4.A man without knowledge is like a bird without feather.5.At that moment the murderer was so astonished that he could not utter a word any more than a dead. 6.Though he is not a rich man, he often spends money like water.
