The Effects of Globalization on Culture The trend of globalization is a distinct feature of our time. It is also in tune with the times. Every person can taste its blood in every aspect. Particularly , in the field of culture.with the globalization ,we can see clearly that , every country s culture exchanges with the outside word, this trend accelerate the spread of culture and develop the quality of the culture. However, because of the globalization, world culture has to face many different complex problems. In what follows, I will analyze one of the effect of globalization on culture-culture invasion specify and concrete. It can not denying that the shock arises from the western cultural invasion became more and more rigorous. It intensifies the instability of the status of local culture. As everyone knows, the culture invasion relies on three factors: language, university and media. It goes with saying that, English is becoming the world language. Take China as an example. We engaged in studying English , in the waves of it , We lost the enthusiasm of learning our own culture, we are not familiar with it, even misunderstand it. What a lamentable thing. The foreign culture may erode our own culture step by step.University, It is an unforgettable factors in the culture invasion. More persons plunge themselves into the foreign prominent universities.they absorbed the western culture ,became the propagandists of western countries. Consequently, the information we received more lean to the western culture, not only in universities but every period of life. Still in China, Because of this more and more person accept the pro-America ideas proposed by some extremists. It lead to the phenomenon of Xenophilia.Third, It is the influence of mass media which I think play the biggest role in the modern society. It mainly presents on the Hollywood movie which gradually becoming the world standard of movie. Our own academic and artistic works cant be thought good until they are approved by American.this tendency makes we engraved with the others imprint washes away our own cultural identity. All things what I want to say is we can not resistent the globalization. But we must awarn that we can not forget our cultural identity.
