The reading material of this unit is a short tour of London.教材分析（一）教材分析本课是新课标八年级第八模块第二单元。本模块以出行旅游为话题开展多种教学活动。本单元在学生已经熟悉通过地图呈现指路及表明具体位置的语言表达方式的基础上，加入新的教学内容，即继续呈现这方面的语言，同时向学生介绍英国伦敦的一些名胜古迹。（二）教材的地位和作用通过这一环节的学习，加强学生对问路、指路、地点方位等英语语言的理解和运用。同时通过一系列的学生之间的对话、操练、小组合作等，增进学生之间的团结、丰富他们的知识、培养他们乐于参加运用英语的实际活动，乐于了解别国文化的兴趣。教学目标1、知识目标( 1 ) To get information from the reading material about some famous places in London: the National Gallery, Buckingham Palace, the House of Parliament, the London Eye, the Tower of London, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Aquare( 2 ) To learn more expressions of giving directions.( 3 ) To learn new vocabulary.2、能力目标( 1 ) To make the similar dialogues freely using the information offered. Key vocabulary: tour, painting,clear, boat, off, towerKey structures: Take the boat back Get off the boat at 难点( Difficult points )1. 用方位介词描述建筑物的位置。2. 建筑物的英文名称。课前预测学生在学习了本模块的第一单元后对本单元活动所要用到语言材料已经有了一定的认识，而这些内容非常贴近学生的生活实际，学生们有着丰富的直接经验；英国是学生较为熟悉的国家，学生的兴趣会非常浓厚。但是在讨论这一话题时，将涉及较多场所的英文名称，学生掌握难度较大，而且在描述方向或路径时，学生可能无法用英语准确表达。因此在具体安排教学内容时，可根据初二的学生活泼好动，彼此间喜欢交流的特点，通过问答、对话、游戏、比赛等活动，调动学生已有的背景知识，选取学他们生自己收集的英国的著名的景点，吸引他们的注意力，通过多种活动使尽快熟悉这些英文名称。这样不仅调动了学生的学习积极性，引导他们主动地投入到教学活动中来，而且也创造轻松的活跃的英语氛围，让学生们寓乐于学，体验成就。学生们既能更好地掌握知识，同时又充分地体现了学生的主体地位。动画的运用可以帮助学生更好地表达他们的思想。另外，初二的学生已经具备了一定的阅读能力、思维能力，能够进行简单的阅读、推测和整理。教学方法1根据学生的个性特点，以任务型教学方法为主，从最贴近学生生活的场景切入教学，引起学生的注意力，激发他们的求知欲，使学生能以饱满的情绪，主动、自然地投入到学习中来。2结合录象、图片等教学辅助手段，采用不同的对话、交际方法，指导学生积极参与课堂语言交际活动3充分的课堂提问，体现面向全体学生，以学生为主体的基本理念。4采取合作学习的方式，指导学生积极参与小组语言交际活动，在语言的实践活动中共同完成学习任务。5结合听、说、读能力的训练，在写这个输出性的环节里，设计了一个，让学生从动到静，独立思考，对新旧知识进行整合并加以运用。强化了本单元所学的知识。教学手段1为了增强课堂教学的直观性和趣味性，加大课堂密度，提高教学效果，本节课主要以现代化电教手段多媒体辅助教学，贯穿整个教学过程。2课件流程如下： A simple map of Tiananmen Square on P65 Show a video of some famous places around the world.
