The lesson is aimed to instruct students to comprehend the plot of the story, to learn the personalities of characters and to taste the humor of Mark Twains work. It is hoped that students interest in English literature will be aroused after learning this lesson.Analysis of the studentsIn reading lessons, we should focus on three aspectswhat to read, how to read and how well we read. In the past, students reading ability mainly stayed at a low-level reading process, which features literal reading. Through this lesson, students reading ability is expected to be improved to a higher level, that is, reading for the implied meaning. It is hoped that some interactive activities, for example, role play, will help to deepen students comprehension of the story.
