III.Difficulty:Enable the pupils how to use the present continuous tense.IV.Aid: Pictures V.Procedures Step 1 Greeting: Greet the pupils by saying:Hello,boys and girls!Step 2 Warm-up:1.The teacher shows the pupils the pictures of tablewares(chopstick/knife/fork)and asks them the questions individually and randomly:Whats this ? 2.The teacher reads each word and asks the pupils to read after him a couple of times. 3.When the teacher shows the pupils the pictures of tablewares again,he is saying the pattern”I can use.”.At the same time he explains its Chiese meaning.3.The teacher shows the pupils the pictures of tablewares again and asks the pupils individually and randomly to say what kind of tableware he/she is good at.Step 3 Presentation The shows the pupils the pictures of the western-style foods(chip/hamburger/sandwich) and asks them the question individually and randomly:Whats this ? (If possible,either the teacher may help them to answer it :”Its a/an,or they are permitted to answer it in Chinese.)Step 4 Learning1.(The teacher puts up the pictures of the three western-style foods on the blackboard,with words under each other) Learn the following words:chip hamburger sandwich2.The teacher reads each word and asks the pupils to read after him a couple of times. 3.The teacher asks the pupipls individually and randomly to read the words.Step 5 A game The teacher asks the pupipls individually and randomly to come to the blackboard to point to the pictures he mentions. Step 6 Presentation1.The teacher shows a picture of a fruit or food and asks the pupils the question :Whats this ? 2.The teacher writes the new word “eat”on the blackboard ,and when he is miming eating a fruit or food it,he asks the pupils to guess its chinese meaning.Step 7 LearningLearn the word: eatStep 8 Practice The teacher mimes eating different types of foods,asking the pupils to guess what he is eating.(For example ,he has to peel a banana first before he eats it so the pupils can mime that action.Noodles are sucked or slurped.A hamburger is normally eaten with both hands.An apple is held in one hand and then bitten into.)If the pupils guess it right, he shows the corresponding pictures and says :pear. apple.I eat grapes. noodles. hamburgerStep 9 Presentation1. The teacher shows the pupils a picture of a fruit or food and he is miming eating it ,he writes “eating”on the blackboard.eat eating2. The teacher explains the pupils its chinese meaning. Step 10 Learning1.Learn the word: eating 2.Learn the pattern: pear. apple.Im eating grapes. noodles. hamburger.2. The teacher reads each sentence and asks the pupils to read after him a couple of times.3. The teacher asks the pupipls individually and randomly to read the sentence. Step 11 Games Game 11.The teacher says the names of different foods and asks the pupipls individually and randomly to come to the platform to find the right picture,saying loudly:“ Im eating. ”. After that ,he goes back to his/her seat with the picture.2.The teacher asks “Who is eating?” The one who is eating stands up , saying loudly:“ Im eating. ”. Game 21. The teacher shows the pupils the pictures and asks them the questions individually and randomly:Whats this ? 2.The teacher puts it up on the windows or on the blackboard or somewhere else,and then asks the pupils the question individually and randomly “Where is”The one who finds it puts it down and comes to the platform, saying loudly:“Im eating” Step 12 Consolidation 1.
