Their friend Danny Lin met them at the airport and took them to the station. As the train traveled eastward over the Rocky Mountains, they saw mountain goats, a grizzly bear and an eagle. After two days, they realized how empty Canada was as its population is only a little over 30 million and most live only a few hundred kilometers from the US boarder. Later they saw ocean ships sailing up the Great lakes and learned that because of the lakes a third of the worlds fresh water is in Canada.
