Warming-up and revision(课堂热身和复习)(1)T:What did we learn in the last period?( 学生根据自己的记忆,回答老师的问题)1(2)Revision(复习)T: Lets first read the sentences in Grammar Focus. 教学设计说明:通过Grammar Focus 来复习前面所学的重点句子。2. Work on 4a, 4bT: Lets do more exercise about for and since.(1) Rewrite the sentences using for or since.To give Ss a worked example, do item 1 together as a class.(2) Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets. After Ss have finished filling in the blanks, invite a few Ss to read out each item with their answers. Have the rest of the class say if the answers are correct and explain why the answers are correct/incorrect.(老师特别强调for 和since 的用法区别,提示学生要用现在完成时来完成句子。还要注意终止性动词和延续性动词的变化。)教学设计说明:根据课本内容,指导学生按要求完成课本设计的练习,复习所学,进一步巩固运用本单元的目标语言句型。Section B 3. Work on 1a T: What do you think of your town or city? S: I think our town is T: Can you find a museum/zoo/bridge/libraryin your town/city?S: Yes. T: How long has it been there?S: It has been there since /for /as long as T: Now, work on 1a. Check ( ) the places or things you can find in your town or city.Go through each of the places listed with the class. Have Ss check the places according to their own understanding of their town/city.教学设计说明:教师可以多给几个学生提问,更换不同的事物来训练目标句型,反复操练,以期达到巩固的效果。4. While listening (Work on 1b, 1c)(1)T: Now youll hear a conversation. Listen and answer the questions in 1b.Have Ss read the questions first so that they understand what is expected to answer. (教师放录音,因为对话简单教师可以在放完一遍录音以后就订正答案)(2)T: Listen again and try to fill in the chart in 1c.Before Ss listen to the audio again, draw their attention to the chart and invite a few Ss to predict what is to be filled in the chart.(核对答案的同时,要求学生用完整的句子回答表格当中的内容,训练目标句型的表达。)(3)T: Now, lets read the tapescript (conversation) and underline the new words and expressions. Explain any difficult/unfamiliar words/phrases/expressions.(听力原文中的词汇和句子解释在课件中体现。)5. Post-listening (Fill in the blanks)T: Now read the tapescript once again quickly and complete the paragraph with the correct words.教学设计说明:听完两遍之后,基本了解对话的内容。 再用讨论的方式,学习听力原文中的新单词和句型。 最后通过短文填空的形式,使学生巩固这段对话的内容和英文表达方式。6. Post-listening (Work on 1d)T: Please talk about your town or city with your partner.A: My city is lovely.B: What are some of the special places there?A: Well, there is a concert hall there. Its been around for at least 20 years.Have Ss work in pairs and talk about their town/city using the sample dialogue as a starting point. Walk around the classroom and monitor. Offer help where needed.Finally, invite a few pairs of Ss to come to the front of the class and make conversation.You can also have Ss assess their fellow classmates, based on the agreed criteria, e.g. speaking clearly, using appropriate tone/volume, using the correct words/tense, etc. (给学生练习的时间, 在真实的生活情景中,练习对话。)教学设计说明:这是这堂课的最后一个环节,也是知识输出的环节。学生们通过本堂课所学,能灵活运用相关词汇和句型,在生活中运用英语表达自己的思想。 6. Homework (Work on 4c)T: Fill in the questions and ask two students. Then complete the chart. Explain to Ss how they are going to do the class survey. When Ss come back to class the next lesson, have Ss report back to you what they have found out about their classmates.
