Concerning the huge in-house demand for quality moulds and escalating demand of the market, the board of directors believed that the prospect of the mould-making business should be optimistic and it was the best time to set up HKMD. a new and independent mould-making company. And our decision has been proved correct, reviewing the satisfactory performance of HKMD in the last three years, both in its sales turnover and business development. According to Mr. Siu, HKMD now forms a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship with other member companies of the Group. With its quality moulds and dies, HKMD has helped promote our metal and plastic businesses. In return, the further expansion of our metal and plastic businesses has also created a strong and continuous demand for moulds and dies from HKMD. All these have resulted in a healthy growth of the Groups business.Plastic and Metal Merged Big SuccessToday, HKMD produces annually over 2,000 sets of moulds and dies, mainly for the applications in the manufacture of communication equipment, office automation equipment, medial apparatus, security facilities, consumer electronics, and auto parts. Among them the moulds and dies for office equipment have contributed a dominant share of 60-70%. In the market, there are now many good makers, either in plastic moulds or metal dies, but very few like HKMD, which has proudly taken a leap by merging these two technologies in one. And before the assembly of the mould parts, we will have all of them CMM tested to ensure their best quality. These procedures are money- and time-consuming and involved a higher production cost. Nevertheless, they help guarantee the best quality of our moulds. Money or quality, it will be the choice of out custo
