Three prepositions: in, on, under. B: Sentence structure: Where is/ are something? It is/ They are _. C: The use of plural form:Language skills: Learn to ask and describe positions of different objects.Learning strategies: group work to discuss and act out. Recite according to the given words.Affection: learn to cooperate with others by discussing and acting with others; Setting some tasks to help the students realize that learning English is interesting and useful.Culture awareness: Know the habit of asking questions in English countries.教学重点:A: Learn three ways of describing different positions of objects (in, on, under).B: Learn the sentence structure Where is/ are _? to ask the position of object.C: New words of this part.教学难点:A: teach the student way to ask position of many objects (plural forms).B: English expressions of describing different positions.课时安排:一课时教学手段:blackboard and PPT教 学 内 容 与 教 学 过 程备注Greeting and pre-class check (words).Step 1: Do a match to see if the students have remembered the words.Step2: Have a review on the learned words and practice the plural form of them. (Build a contrast by displaying a picture of one object and a picture of many objects.)Step3: Read the words and do 1a on page 19.Step4: Introduce the three prepositions in/ on/ under by acting and asking question. (Put a book on the desk and say This book is on the desk; put a book in the backpack and say The book is in the backpack; put a book under the table and say This book is under the table). Read together. Group work to practice the use of the three prepositions and act it out to check.(students put their things in different places and describe the position of them )Step5: Introduce the sentence structure: Where is/ are _? It is/ They are in/ on/ under_.(asking one student to set a model by asking her where is the backpack? Then group work to ask positions of objects like backpack, books, keys, baseball and plant in the picture)Step6: Listening 1b. (listen and check)Write the 3 sentences on the blackboard.Step7: Turn to page 20 and look at 2a. Ask the students What are the things in the picture? Then listen and number. Check together.Step8: Listen again to find the positions of the 6 objects in 2a. 1st time: Students listen by themselves. 2nd time: Listen and stop. Students recite and translate the text sentence by sentence and give the answer by the way. 3rd time: Read after the tape together. Give the students 2 minutes to recite the whole text and then ask students to recite the text according to the given words.Step9: Memory challenge. (group PK) Show a picture with many objects on it. Ask the students to remember the positions of these objects (15s), then rise hand to get the chance to answer the questions. After 15s, turn to the picture without any objects( the same picture as the former), then ask the students to answer the questions. One right position one point.Use a form to check the answer.Finally, read the answer together. (According to the form. Where is _?
