一Recently, a survey was carried out about the sources of income for college students in China and the United States. According to the survey, the income of American and Chinese college students mainly comes from the same sources: parents, part-time jobs and scholarships, but the percentages of each source in their total income are quite different. 46% of American students income is from their parents, 37% from part-time jobs, and 17% from scholarships. However, for Chinese students, 88% of their income is from their parents while only 4% is obtained from scholarships and 8% from part-time jobs. Therefore, I think that Chinese students depend too much on their parents in their daily life while American students are much more independent.二A survey was made in our school last week among 300 students about their breakfast. According to the survey, only 70% of the students have breakfast while the other 30% go to school without breakfast at all. Some boys dont have breakfast because they do not have enough time for it while some girls think not eating breakfast is necessary for them to keep slim. Another factor is that some parents do not have time to prepare breakfast for their children, and worse still, school meals are of poor quality. In addition, some families are too poor to afford meals for their children.三Recently I have made a survey about whether students should wear school uniforms at school in our school and opinions vary from person to person . Supporters say that it shows equality between students in a way and is good for keeping their duties in mind and help them concentrate their attention on study . Others argue that the design of school uniforms are out of date and the materials are not comfortable. They cant express their personalities. As for me , it is necessary to wear school uniforms.四Recently we conducted a survey of 2,000 junior and senior students in order to learn more about student reading habits. We found 37% of middle school students read fewer than 5 books per year. With regard of reading material, it was shown that junior students preferred cartoon magazines and joke books whereas senior students preferred popular novels, classic works and science fictions. As for why students read so little, some of the junior students said they had no interests in reading while some of the senior students complained that they had no time to read because they had too much homework to do.The findings suggest we need to encourage students to do more reading and give students more time for reading after class.五This story tells us the reason why the mother has a scar on her face.
