When the cleaners heard sounds in the morning, they thought they must be art thieves.W: Is this a pleasant place to work?M: Yes! Theres so much about this place that I still dont know and I get excited whenever I discover more facts about it. OK, its freezing in winter and too hot in summer, but you get used to that. People here dont always work with a smile, but its like that anywhere, isnt it?W: Are you glad you decided to make Frankby your home?M: Well, before I moved here, I was worried Id be bored, but that didnt turn out to be the case. And when I think of some of the ugly towns I couldve ended up in, I realize how fortunate I am. Im not surprised they built a castle here!(Text 10)M: Hello, everyone! My name is Harry Marshall, and I want to tell you about my recent school trip to a place called Markham. Our teacher, Mr Griffiths, who actually teaches us maths, is also really interested in geography, so he wanted to take us and he thought wed get material for other subjects like art and photography, too.I was surprised to find that the cave we were in was completely dry, apart from a stream that ran right through it, which I wanted to examine a bit more closely. And there was also a waterfall that dropped into a black hole at the back of the cave. Needless to say, no one really wanted to explore that part! The guide also asked us what different shapes we could see in the rocks. Many people thought one rock was shaped like a snake, and several in my group thought they saw a horse in another rock, but I didnt manage to see anything more exciting than a rock that looked a bit like a rabbit. The final part of our visit was to an exhibition about the history of the caves. We saw videos about how the caves were explored, and photos of the brave divers who first went into the caves. But I was even more impressed by the machines we were shown. They really brought the history of the place to life for me.高二英语十月份月考答案:第一部分 听力1-5 BCABA 6-10 BBCAC 11-15 BACAC 1
