Which country would you like to go?1. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. 通过让学生看图谈论图片及自由交谈快速进入本课的话题,训练了学生的反应,并在无形中培养学生大胆说英语的习惯。Step TwoPre-reading(5)1.Show students the pictures and lead them to describe them and present new words in sentences and teach them as well.2.Have students guess: Look at the title and pictures.What things will you do if you take the course? 1.Watch and try to describe the pictures and learn some new words .2.Guess what things they will do if they take the course.引导学生谈论图片,训练学生描述图片的能力。在描述的同时学习新单词和句型,尽量做到词不离句,为学生扫清阅读障碍。 通过猜测,激发学生产生阅读的愿望和心理。Step ThreeWhile-reading (24)Step ThreeWhile-reading (24)1. SkimmingAsk students to scan the passage and find out the main idea of it (Activity2).2. Scanning(1)Ask students to skim the passage and match the headings with the paragraphs(Activity3).A. T: We know this passage is information about English courses.What information does it contain ? Read the passage quickly again and match the headings with the paragraphs in pairs.(2)Call back the answers.3.Careful reading.(1)Paragraph 1Read Paragraph 1 and complete the notes.T: Now, we know they train hard this year.Where and when do they train ? Read Paragraph 1&2 in pairs and choose the best answers to the two questions.Let the students read Paragraph 1 in groups of four and find out difficulties.Solve the difficulties.T: When do the courses start? Lets continue learning Paragraph2.(2)Paragraph 2:Present some sentences to the students and ask them to write “T” or “F” and correct the wrong sentences as well after reading Paragraph 3 . Ask a student to be “a little teacher” to check the answers. Let one team students read Paragraph 2 and the other students listen carefully to point out important points.Solve the difficulties.T: Where can you stay?What other things you can do after class?
