Directions: 1. Label the pictures with the phrases.(1). Read through the phrases in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Ask them to label them in the pictures on the screen. (3).Make some sentences with the phrases. Ask students to speak out as many as they can.2. Revise verbs followed by v.-ing form or (to) +v.They stopped to listen, but there was no more sound. I saw the leaves falling.I saw the boy fall off the tree.I hear him cry in the next room.I hear him singing in the next room.Dont forget to give my regards to them. I forgot closing the door.I remember doing this exercise before. Remember to post the book for me. .Ask students to speak out as many as they can. Step 2 Lead in: Task 1: Introduce to them the new words.Directions:1. Introduce the new words of this unit. And list them on the board.2. Read after the teacher.3. Practise reading the words.4. Ask the students to look at the pictures about pieces of technology. Elicit what they can see. If there are any new words, add them to the list on the board.5. Tell the students the new uses of the objects we use in our daily life. Task 2: Match the words with the objects in the table.Directions:1. Read through the words with the whole class and have them repeat them chorally and individually.2. Ask the Ss to match the words with the objects individually.3. Call back the answers from the whole class. Practise reading the words.Step 3 Listening1. Task: Listen and say what is happening in Activity 1 on page 26.Directions:1. We can ask the Ss some extra questions to lead them .e.g.(1) What has Betty got?(2) Does she know how to use the video camera?(3) Is she reading instructions?(4) Does Tony know how to use it?2. Play the recording and have them listen to the recording and focus on the extra questions first time through, Then Call back the answer from the whole class. The keys are following:(1) A mobile phone, with a video camera.(2) No, she doesnt.(3) No, shes asking Tony to tell her.(4) Yes, he does.3. Then listen again and say what is happening.The answer: Tony is giving Betty instructions on how to use the video camera on her mobile phone.4. Play the recording again for the Ss to check and consolidate.5. Do Activity 2 on page 26.2. Task: To understand conversations.Directions:1. Ask the Ss to look at the questions in Activity 4 on page 27.2. Play the recording and have them listen.3. Play the recording again and have them answer the questions individually.4. Call back the answer from the whole class, having one student ask a question and another answer.3. Task: Activity 5 on page 27. Directions:1. Have them read the passage and write notes individually in Activity 5.2. Have them check their answers with a partner 3. Call back the answer in a whole- class setting.4. Play the recording again and have them check.4. Task: Give instructions in Activities 6 on page 27. Directions:1. Have them do Activity 6 individually. Have them ask and answer about the tasks or problems in Activity 5 with a partner2. Ask some pairs to act it out in front of the class.5 .Task: Listen and read: Directions:1. Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the conversation.2. Play the recording again and pause after each phrase, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually.3. Put the Ss. into groups of 5 to practise the dialogue. 4. They should repeat it several times, changing the roles (Tony, Lingling, Daming ,Sally and Betty)each time.Step five: Explain some difficult sentences if necessary.Step 4 Pronunciation Task: Listen and repeat in Activity 7 Directions:1.
