Must you water the garden? No, I neednt water it now. Its going to rain. (neednt 来表达Must的否定回答,还可以表达have to 的否定回答。) b. Do you have to walk to the station? No, I neednt. We can catch a bus.2. Must and cant (猜测) a. Must 可以表示猜测推断,意即“肯定,一定”,在这种意义下,它一般与系动词 (be) 连用: She must be at least forty. 想必她至少有40了吧。 She must be watching TV. 她一定是在看电视。 b. 然而,否定的推断只能用cant 来表达,而不是mustnt: He cant be ill. He must be tired. He cant be a dentist. Prepare Lesson 129 130 VII Summary: 今天检查的是123课背诵,有几个学生背得不熟练,有的学生没有模仿磁带,用自来腔背课文,近来这种现象有增无减,大部分学生完全可以不听磁带,读、背课文,这对学生的语感带来负迁移、影响学生用英语表达的地道性,尤其是对学生录制金磁带的效果有百害而无一利,因此,及时用Listen to the tape and repeat without books,Listen to the tape and speak the next / the former sentence等方法操练了125课,学生一模仿,立马就能说出比较纯正的英语,师生的感觉又回到了优质的语言环境中,借此氛围,再次强调录制金磁带的有关事项。 听力练习做得不够顺利,这次我有意没有将关键词写在白板上,想看看学生是否能跳过这一关,结果从must have to / has to ,从 dont have to / doesnt have to dont need to / doesnt need to 相互转换中出现了张冠李戴的现象,少数学生主动做了要点的记录,比没有做的学生有明显的不同,我随即在白板上补充了关键词,效果好了许多,可见,对于做含有新知识点的听力练习,要视其难度而定,一方面,边听边督促学生做要点的记录,另一方面,老师应帮助学生将key words写出来。 Must be, cant be 的用法留做下次课的操练重点。下周查125课的背诵。
