What does it indicate? 7. Whats its thyme scheme ?(aaba bbcb ccdc dddd) The poem Dreams is written by a black writer named Langston Hughes. The poem has clear rhymes and a strong rhythm. The writer use two images- a broken-winged bird and a barren field to convey the idea that life is unbearable without hope. It meant to encourage the black people not to give up hope or lose their ideal for a better world. The Road Not TakenTWOroadsdivergedinayellowwoodAndsorryIcouldnottravelbothAndbeonetraveler, longIstoodAndlookeddownoneasfarasIcouldTowhereitbentintheundergrowth(灌木丛灌木丛)但我却选择了另外一条路但我却选择了另外一条路它荒草萋萋,十分幽寂它荒草萋萋,十分幽寂显得更诱人,更美丽显得更诱人,更美丽虽然在这两条小路上虽然在这两条小路上都很少留下旅人的足迹都很少留下旅人的足迹Thentooktheother, asjustasfairAndhavingperhapsthebetterclaimBecauseitwasgrassyandwantedwearThoughasforthatthepassingthereHadwornthemreallyaboutthesame虽然那天清晨落叶满地虽然那天清晨落叶满地 两条路都未经脚印污染两条路都未经脚印污染 呵,留下一条路等改日再见呵,留下一条路等改日再见 但我知道路径延绵无尽头但我知道路径延绵无尽头 恐怕我难以再回返恐怕我难以再回返 AndboththatmorningequallylayInleavesnostephadtroddenblackOh,IkeptthefirstforanotherdayYetknowinghowwayleadsontowayIdoubtedifIshouldevercomeback也许多少年后在某一个地方也许多少年后在某一个地方我将轻声叹息把往事回顾我将轻声叹息把往事回顾 一片森林里分出两条路一片森林里分出两条路 而我却选择了人迹更少的一条而我却选择了人迹更少的一条 从此决定了我一生的道路从此决定了我一生的道路IdoubtedifIshouldevercomebackIshallbetellingthiswithasighSomewhereagesandageshenceTworoadsdivergedinawoodandIItooktheonelesstraveledbyAndthathasmadeallthedifference Everyone is a traveler, choosing the roads to follow on the map of their journey, life. There is never a straight path or sole direction in which to head. The Road Not Taken, clearly demonstrates Frosts belief that it is the road that one chooses that makes him the man who he is. The fact that the traveler took the path less travelled by over the more popular, secure one indicates the type of personality he has, one that does not want to necessarily follow the crowd but do more of what has never been done, what is new and different. He realizes that the decision is not just a temporary one which will affect every other choice he makes afterward. Once you have performed an act or spoken a word that shows who you are, there is no turning back and it cannot be undone. Yet he remains proud of his decision and he recognizes that it was this path that he chose to live his life the way in which he lived. To this man, what was most important, what really made the difference, is that he did what he wanted, even if it meant taking the road less traveled. If he hadnt, he wouldnt be the same man he is now. Homework: Choose a poem or song you like to write a article to appreciate it.THANK YOU for listening and participation When I Count to ThreeWhen I count to three, the toys better be picked up.
