Guessing Game,复习旧知。出示谜语,学生根据图中小朋友的描述和提问猜测他们的理想职业,复习职业的英文名称和具体工作内容。T: Look at these children. They are thinking about their dream jobs. What are their dream jobs? Do you want to know? 2. 阅读封面,预测内容。教师引导学生分别从题目、图画、作者信息等阅读故事书的封面。T: What is the title of the book? ( The best job.) T: Then lets look at the picture on the cover. What can you see on the picture? (Some children are sitting on the grassland. They are talking about something.)T: What are they talking about? Can you guess? (I think they are talking about the best job.)T: Who is the author? (Karen Thompson.) How about the illustrator? ( Guanhua Li draws pictures for the book.)13分钟读中活动1. 阅读故事,理解大意。学生带着问题What are the best jobs for the children?阅读故事,并寻找答案。读后,找出小朋友们心目中最好的职业。2. 学习两个职业的英文名称。(1) T: A clown has a big red nose. He works in a circus. He is very funny and can make people happy.(2) T: A captain is in charge of a ship. He reads maps and a compass to steer his ship to faraway places.3. 再读故事,聚焦理由。教师提问:Why do they think these jobs are the best? 学生再次阅读小故事,并在书中圈画出答案。4. 师生谈论,梳理理由。(1) Bob think being a nurse is the best job, because he wants to help people, and he thinks it is exciting.(2) Tom says being a clown is the best job, because he wants to make people happy.(3) May thinks says being a doctor is the best job, because her mum is a doctor, and she wants to be a doctor like her mum. (4) Sue says being a farmer is not exciting but it is a good job to do, maybe she love animals and she enjoys doing the job. (5) Pete says being a captain is the best job, because Pete thinks being a captain is exciting, and his father is a captain, he wants to be a captain like his father. He is also good at sea fishing. He can have more chance to go sea fishing if he becomes a captain.(6)小结:教师引导学生一起归纳出书中小朋友选择最好的职业的理由,并进行总结。T: Maybe you want to do some exciting, interesting or cool jobs. Maybe you want to help people or make people happy. Maybe you want to do your favourite persons job, like your family members job or someone elses. Or maybe you just enjoy doing the job and you are good at it.2分钟运用1. 谈论自己心目中最好的职业,并介绍理由。请学生借助理由框架和语言,彼此交流自己心目中最好的职业及其理由。如:学生1:I want to be a cook. I think that is the best job for me.
